Saudi Arabia and Qatar discuss developing cooperation in transport, logistics

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Transport and Logistics Services Saleh Al-Jasser held talks with Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz, Qatari prime minister and interior minister, during his official visit to Doha on Thursday.
The talks dealt with ways of developing relations between the two countries in various fields, Saudi Press Agency reported.
Al-Jasser also met with Qatari counterpart Jassim Al-Sulaiti to discuss opportunities for cooperation between them in the fields of transport and logistics. 
During the meeting, he stressed the historical and strategic relations between the Kingdom and Qatar, which is based on the bonds of brotherhood, neighborliness and a common Gulf destiny.
Al-Jasser said that “the ambitious goals of the Kingdom’s National Transport and Logistics Strategy are working to enhance regional integration and connectivity in the transport and logistics system, expand intra-regional cooperation, and support sustainable growth in the transport and logistics economies in the region.”
He added that he hoped these visits would result in more cooperation and joint work between both countries.
